If you are feeling adventurous, residents who have computers with modems can
use their computer to send the fax. The faxing feature is usually setup like
a printer. Residents will then just need to have a digital copy of the
documents they want to fax and then print it to the fax machine. From there,
a faxing wizard will normally show up for you to enter the number. In the
residences, just make sure you dial 9 to reach an external number and
usually 1 for long distance.

Post by William ItoMany housing offices have fax machines which students can ask to use. There
are some free online options that you can send a scan to, but most add some
sort of self-advertising cover sheet or have a severe page limit. Finally,
some people have chosen to use Fedex/Kinkos due to convenience or just
personal preference.

Subject: Fax Machines?
Where can residents access fax machines on campus? One of my
residents is looking for one to use.
